Quick reference: specialized controls

Start / Stop — begin or halt audio. Audio context initializes on first Start.
New Situation — full re‑seed of the system: new periods, densities, and phase offsets for every lane; use when you want a fresh structure or different polyrhythmic relationships (global mix/FX remain).
Randomize — gentle to moderate perturbation of current periods/densities scaled by Variation; preserves the overall character and timing relationships—use to explore nearby variants rather than reset.
Tempo — master tempo reference (visual only). Engine is stochastic; tempo frames the timeline.
Variation — how far randomization can deviate; larger values mean bolder changes.
Humanize (ms) — micro‑timing jitter per hit for realism.
Dynamics (Global %) — scales per‑hit level variability; multiplied by each lane's Dynamics %.
Evolve + Rate — slow random walk of density/period/pan; higher rate evolves faster.
Converge + Rate — gently ease all lane periods toward the instantaneous mean; higher rate converges quicker.
Burstiness — increases probability of short gaps and clustered events.
Gap Bias — preference for shorter (negative) vs longer (positive) inter‑onset gaps.
Accent Every / Gain — apply a periodic accent (Nth hit) with a level boost.
Shuffle Phases — re‑seed each lane's starting offset without changing their parameters.
Master Vol / Reverb / Width — overall loudness, global convolution mix, stereo width (mid/side).
Notes vs Silence — prunes generated hits globally for air/density control.
Master Timing — Density / Period Scale — multiply all lanes' densities and periods.
Save / Load — export/import a .json snapshot of the entire situation.
Theme / Sound Profile — switch light/dark theme and set master tone/reverb/width curves.
